It might sound crazy, but something as simple as a cold schnoz could be a sign you're overdoing it.

A recent UK study revealed that when you're overloaded, extremities such as your nose cool down.

According to scientists at the University of Nottingham, this is because your brain requires a lot of power to get through a demanding workload, so it draws energy (in this case heat) from other parts of your body to help.

Next time you notice your nose feeling a bit chilly, take it as a sign that you deserve a break – and if you need to calm down in a hurry, give your partner's shirt a sniff.

New research published in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology found that women's stress levels significantly decrease when they smell their loved one's scent.

We reckon that's all the scientific evidence you need to 'borrow' your partner's tees!
